Licensed and accredited programs implemented in the educational process.

  • Lebanese Curriculum: Recognized as one of the strongest Arabic curricula with international standing, it is bilingual, combining Arabic and English. It equips students with comprehensive knowledge and skills across all subjects.
  • American Curriculum (California State): A flexible curriculum that can be integrated with the Lebanese program. It is designed to enhance students’ academic and linguistic abilities effectively.

Trilingual Education at Levant International School

Levant International School offers a trilingual education, emphasizing the importance of mastering three languages:

  • English: Recognized as a global language, English is given significant focus at our school. Subjects like Science, Mathematics, and Technology are taught in English, in addition to dedicated English language classes. We follow the American curriculum, specifically the Macmillan education system, which is rich in interactive activities and knowledge, helping students develop key skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. (15 weekly sessions)
  • Arabic: As the native language for all Arab students, Arabic is an essential part of our education system. In addition to Arabic language classes, students study Social Studies, Islamic Education, Values, and engage in Arts and Physical Education. We use the “Langati Farhi” curriculum, which teaches Arabic in an enjoyable and progressive manner, enhancing sensory awareness, memory, and imagination. (14 weekly sessions)
  • Turkish: As the language of the host country, Turkish is essential for communication and integration with the surrounding community. (4 weekly sessions)

 

Technology:

The primary platform used for remote learning is ZOOM.
In addition to ZOOM, our educators rely on various educational platforms for building concepts and motivating students:

  • English: Raz Kids platform
  • Mathematics & Science: GIZMOS simulations

Our school library is a vital resource, filled with digital books and references (e-books and resources), along with the use of smart boards in classrooms and online learning platforms.

 

School Location:

Levant International School is located in a region that serves as a hub for various Arabic and international schools. The areas of Esenyurt, Avcılar, and surrounding neighborhoods are home to many Arab communities, making it an ideal location for our school.

 

School Building:

The school is housed in a five-story building that meets international standards for private schools. It includes 20 classrooms, six science labs, an auditorium with a capacity of 150 people, and both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The school can accommodate up to 370 students.

  • Set and monitor the financial budget for operations.
  • Approve and implement necessary financial requirements.
  • Monitor the execution of plans and programs.
  • Discuss reports and completed tasks.
  • Address issues hindering work and find suitable solutions.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations for school improvement.

Educational Board of Directors: Meets every 15 days of the month. Composed of:

  • Executive Director
  • Academic Director or Academic Coordinator
  • Two teachers (selected by lottery for a month).

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate educational and pedagogical work in the school.
  • Discuss educational and curricular plans.
  • Approve incentives and bonuses for staff and propose a discipline policy.
  • Study and ensure necessary resources for smooth operations.
  • Review test results and analyze factors affecting them, providing solutions.
  • Discuss training programs for improving the skills of teachers, administrators, and staff, and coordinate their implementation.
  • Issue decisions and recommendations for development.
  • Address teacher or parent complaints and take appropriate actions.
  • Follow up on school activities.

Activities Committee: Composed of:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans for educational and pedagogical activities.
  • Supervise the implementation of activities.
  • Provide necessary resources for these activities.

  • True Education: Students have the right to receive education within the school using methods and approaches that enhance their knowledge and thinking. This includes participation in classroom projects, assignments, and activities that broaden their knowledge.

  • Proper Guidance: Through correct educational communication that builds relationships, corrects mistakes, and fosters development.

  • Monitoring Academic and Behavioral Progress: Identifying students’ weaknesses and delays and providing solutions to help improve their performance through attendance in remedial lessons or special classes aimed at their development.

  • Developing Skills and Talents: By participating in activities that support their abilities, such as competitions, festivals, and events.

  • Safety of the School Building: Students should live in a healthy and safe environment, free from hazards and equipped with all safety standards.

We aim to prepare our young learners academically, socially, and emotionally for an easy transition into the first grade of primary school. This includes equipping them with the necessary skills and abilities through the distribution of textbooks, school supplies, and a daily follow-up notebook at the beginning of the academic year.

Therefore, we kindly ask parents to:

  • Send extra clothes for the child (both inner and outerwear) along with a pair of rubber shoes to remain at school.
  • Ensure the child’s backpack is of reasonable size and not too large to avoid causing strain.
  • Send healthy, well-packed meals that do not require reheating.
  • Inform the kindergarten supervisor about any special needs before the child starts, especially regarding health or psychological concerns, or any necessary medications.
  • A healthy snack will be provided daily to our young learners as part of their nutritional program.

    • Responsible for educational, ethical, and academic work in the school.
    • Assist in resolving issues for all staff and students to help them achieve their goals.
    • Serve as a reference for all staff, responsible for general guidance according to the educational institution’s goals.
    • Monitor the daily operations of the school.
    • Provide regular reports to the direct supervisor about school conditions.
    • Oversee staffing and educational needs, training, incentives, and operational materials.
    • Implement decisions from the general board and curriculum grant authority, inform the staff and secure their signatures when necessary.
    • Cooperate with all employees to ensure smooth operations and track attendance records.
    • Approve administrative leave for employees per school leave policies.

    To maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school and its premises.

    • Clean floors, windows, furniture, and other surfaces regularly, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness.

    • Monitor cleanliness in the school, including after student breaks and lunch periods.
    • Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and efficiently, following school safety guidelines.
